VIETNAMESE BOLERO OR TANGO OR WHAT IS IT? TO A NICE MELODY BY NGUYEN HUU THIET

the professional composers, please listen to the rhythm here and tell me whether it is the Spanish"bolero" or the Argentino Tango (using La Cumparsita's rhythm/tempo as the standard for Tango)?  Neither. This sounds more like the Tango to me, although many musicians have told me that the Vietnamese tango is no longer the real tango (I know that at least in couple's dancing, the vietnamese Tango has become a species in itself, not the Argentine tango nor the international tango...it's a vietnamese product)

The Vietnamese today call this song their "bolero," whatever that means.  I think "bolero" to Vietnamese today means something that they could get mushy mushy in singing, without too much vocal ability, something predictable, with a steady beat.

The melody is by Nguyen Huu Thiet: very nice.  anything by Nguyen Huu Thiet has become a classique for Vietnamese...
